Here's a heavy piece of proto-house or whatever you want to call it. Released in the early days of the Easy Street Records label, which then went on to release lots of garage and house music. This rip is off the Special remix 12" of Serious Intention's 'You don't know'. Without having been there myself I'm sure it was big with the Chicago and NY boys and queens.

Debbie Jacobs - High on your love

This is a heavy disco banger from Debbie Jacobs in 'High on your love'. She seem to been along quite long, continuing into more modern dance music later on. One funny thing about the song is scratchy sounds coming in after about 2 minutes. Anyway this is something for all disco queens.

King Sporty & The Root Rockers – Get On Down

T.K. is one of those labels that are quite easy to foresee. Sure, they've released quite lot and there are ten a penny, but if you look around there are quite a few nuggets here and there. This is one of them in the heavy, heavy King Sporty & The Root Rocker's "Get On Down". Personally I discovered the Connie Case version before getting on this one, but I do prefer this version.

This is one of many favourite boogie joints in 'Let your love come down' from Manhattans. It just has the perfect swing and tempo, it can easily be dropped either when you want the party started or when it has taken off. 
Nothing clever, just pure dance and joy.
