Fox - The Juggler

Some folky, hippy goodness here from Fox in "The Juggler". The same titled LP is cheaper than a Big Mac and a relevant add to any hip collection.
Hope you dig!

Heaven & Earth - Jenny

I've had a quite good turnover on the selling lately and obviously, from there it isn't long to get into the wants. This time I wanted to go into some stuff not necessarily disco or related. So here's a recent purchase in Heaven & Earth and the song 'Jenny' off the 'Refuge' LP. It's really a no brainer, just ace folky psychadelic soul on the Ovation label. One thing I found out was that this actually was produced by Dick Shory, who I believe was the head of the label in some way.
Anyways, hope you dig!

Kenny Rankin - I was born

I quite recently found out about Kenny Rankin and obtained 2 LP's quickly. Nothing ellusive, not costing you more than a pint or two. Perfect. "I was born" is off the "Like a seed" LP and got the jazzy, folky, rocky elements that i'm into.
Actually very nice - check it out!
As we're at it, the other LP I'm talking about is "Silver morning". I'm especially digging "In the name of love" for more of the folky stuff. For those of you who can't get enough of versions of "Berimbeau", it's there too.
Go Kenny!

Odyssey - Our lives are shaped by what we love

This group from the early 70's is not to be mixed up with the later and more famous disco group. There are actually quite a few Odysseys'. Anyway these are the ones to look for and there are only one release on the Motown subsidary Mowest. The same titled LP is from 72' and there's another great soul track in 'Battened ships' which I think get some plays on the (northern) soul circuit. Though this one is my favourite, great soul with hints of folk and such. Hope you dig!

Monsters of Folk - Dear god

As heard on GP's 'Worldwide' a few times and recently sampled by the Roots.  Oh, and MoF actually sampled Trevor Dandy's - 'Is there any love' - You gotta love these synergies. A really nice modern folk track and I'd really would like to get a 7" of this.
